I was asked to devise and run a workshop for first time presenters at the London Podcast Festival in 2017.
We covered getting over nerves, tips to stop talkingtoofast, how to script (or not script!) yourself to sound like *you*, how to not overscript, the big dos and don’ts that make all the difference when you get to the edit - and tons more. The best part was that everyone got a chance to script something, stand up and do the scary presenting thing!
It was a really great experience, and I’d love to run more workshops in the future. I’m especially interested in opportunities to help with any projects that make podcasting more accessible to people who are hugely underrepresented in the UK podcasting industry.
