I produced a special edition of The Guardian’s Token podcast, to mark the newspaper’s collaboration with Operation Black Vote on their The Colour of Power project in 2017.
The project revealed that just over 3% of the British elite were non-white.
I worked with journalists Hugh Muir and Poppy Noor to develop and produce this one-off roundtable episode. We invited Lady McGregor-Smith, author of an independent review into race in the workplace, and Simon Woolley, head of Operation Black Vote, to share their thoughts and experiences.
